I have always had very bad perspiration on my underarms, and nothing I have bought has worked to fix the problem. I have tried men%26#039;s deodorant, plain deodorants, just plain antiperspirants, and the deodorant/antiperspirant mixes. Nothing works!! Does anyone have suggestions on what I can do to help this problem?
I am also in a job where I am running around a lot and being very busy (toddler teacher in a daycare). This makes the problem worse because I am always hot. But even when I%26#039;m not working I still perspire a lot.
Perspiring underarms and deodorant/antiperspirant doesn%26#039;t work!?
If you have not yet tried it, Dry Idea (which you can buy at most supermarkets and drugstores) is a product I recommend ; it is pretty good at reducing sweat.
I also hear that Secret has a new Clinical Strength antiperspirant out (that is the label name as well).
If the problem still persists go to your doctor and ask him or her about a prescription for Drysol. You use it at night only, it can sting a bit and itch at first, but it works very well for excessive sweating. The results are great, I used it many years ago and was very pleased.
Reply:i am 13 years old and had the same embarrasing problem.I went to the doctors and they gave me a perscription deoderant that really works.I couldnt tell you the name off the top of my head but i am sure your doctor could help you out.
Reply:There is some anti-persp. just out that advertises that it %26quot;now%26quot;
is the same strength you previously could only get by prescrip.
I think it was a new %26quot;secret%26quot; formula. If I can find it on the web I will come back and add it. Why don%26#039;t those stupid commercials come on when you really need them huh?
: ) -I will try to find it. I%26#039;ld like to know too.
Reply:The only thing i%26#039;ve tried that really works i%26#039;ll have to say HONESTLY! would have to be deodorant from AVON i bought it and it stopped. It actually keeps you dry. No lie! and there so cheap they%26#039;re like $0.99 each. Give it a try
Reply:Secret is the absolute best for stinkin%26#039; and sweatin%26#039; pits. You%26#039;ll sweat everywhere except there.
Reply:Ask your doctor but I think there%26#039;s a medication you can take to help decrease the amount of your perspiration. I can sympathize, I%26#039;m doing the hot flash thing right now...so fun:)
Good luck!
Reply:A course of botox injections into the armpit will close some of the sweat glands down
Reply:Another method to try is to put some baking soda under your arms.
Reply:Here is a trick I found in an old magazine. Baking soda. Just put some on a damp towel and pat your armpits. Wait for it to dry and that’s it. Worked for me, it didn’t stop me sweating but it prevented the sweat smelling.
Reply:Try baking soda.
Reply:doctors can prescribe a formula that closes the pores, but ive found Certain Dri works better, you put it on at night and put your normal deodorant on in the morning, after a week or so of using it every night you pretty much stop sweating
then you can stop using it until you start to again, which takes a couple months
it can be found in most drugstores
Reply:I have the same problem. I use soft%26amp;dri. it helps, if you haven%26#039;t already tried it. I know that also doctors can prescribe certain antiperspirants if you have a big sweating problem.
