Is stick deodorant allowed in your carry-on luggage?

I%26#039;m flying to L.A., and I can%26#039;t find the TSA regulation on stick deodorant. They require gel and spray deodorant to be less than 3 oz., but they didn%26#039;t mention regular, solid stick deodorant. Does anyone know for sure?

When I travel, I still get the travel size of stick deodorant and pack it in the plastic bag too...just in case. because they never defined it, it leaves the door open to each TSA agent%26#039;s opinion. To be safe, I treat it like a gel.
Reply:its not a liquid or a gel - SO ITS OK
Reply:I took regular sized deodorant on the plane and didn%26#039;t have any issues with security.

it is a list of prohibited items.
Reply:I would suggest just to be on the safe side that you pack that item (if you bring in your checked luggage) in the clear ziplock bag.
Reply:umm just to be safe i wouldnt bring it in ur carry-on unless its smaller than 3oz. good luck and happy travels!!!!!
Reply:I use a regular-size stick deodorant. Once I was told it was a gel, and as such had to go into the sealable plastic bag. The size apparently was not an issue.
