My sister has a deodorant/wetmark problem. I%26#039;m trying to help her out. Right now my sis uses Dove deodorant, and idthink it%26#039;s working. She wears a lot of Hollister+Abercrombie tshirts, and the material is thin. She ALWAYS has wet marks, and it makes her really self concious! She doesn%26#039;t know what to do. She puts on a lot of deodorant and body spray. She still gets wet marks. Any advise...home remedies?...anything?!

Reply:I was going to say she needs an antiperspirent to help fight the wetness, but Dove is one. I sweat alot! I have found that the new Secret Clinical Strength works really well.....if you follow the directions. Certain Dri and those like it work, but they really irritate my skin. The new Secret does not. I%26#039;m not going to say that it will keep her totally dry, but it will do a lot better job than the Dove.

If i put deodorant on at night will i stink during the day?
I just started taking showers at night so I could get ready for school faster in the mornings; I put on my deodorant on right before I go to bed.
%26amp; then again in the morning.
Ever since I started taking showers at night I’ve been sweating during the day, %26amp; I’m almost positive it’s my deodorant…I think.
Sooo if I put it on at night, will I have body odor during the day?
I normally never sweat under my arms, %26amp; if I forget deodorant (%26amp; take a shower that morning) I normally don’t smell, well…maybe a little, but its not that bad.
So should I just not put it on in the mornings? Or what?

You can use the juice of a lemon or a lime, just squeeze the juice into your palm and pat onto your armpit- just not after you shaved or it will sting. The citric acid will inhibit bacterial growth (which is what causes b.o. smell).
There are also plenty of natural deodorants on the market now.

Perspiring underarms and deodorant/antiperspirant doesn't work!?
I have always had very bad perspiration on my underarms, and nothing I have bought has worked to fix the problem. I have tried men%26#039;s deodorant, plain deodorants, just plain antiperspirants, and the deodorant/antiperspirant mixes. Nothing works!! Does anyone have suggestions on what I can do to help this problem?
I am also in a job where I am running around a lot and being very busy (toddler teacher in a daycare). This makes the problem worse because I am always hot. But even when I%26#039;m not working I still perspire a lot.

If you have not yet tried it, Dry Idea (which you can buy at most supermarkets and drugstores) is a product I recommend ; it is pretty good at reducing sweat.
I also hear that Secret has a new Clinical Strength antiperspirant out (that is the label name as well).
If the problem still persists go to your doctor and ask him or her about a prescription for Drysol. You use it at night only, it can sting a bit and itch at first, but it works very well for excessive sweating. The results are great, I used it many years ago and was very pleased.

I am also in a job where I am running around a lot and being very busy (toddler teacher in a daycare). This makes the problem worse because I am always hot. But even when I%26#039;m not working I still perspire a lot.

If you have not yet tried it, Dry Idea (which you can buy at most supermarkets and drugstores) is a product I recommend ; it is pretty good at reducing sweat.
I also hear that Secret has a new Clinical Strength antiperspirant out (that is the label name as well).
If the problem still persists go to your doctor and ask him or her about a prescription for Drysol. You use it at night only, it can sting a bit and itch at first, but it works very well for excessive sweating. The results are great, I used it many years ago and was very pleased.

Well, I just (as in, over the weekend) bought this Ban Deodorant in Paradise Winds scent at Target. I%26#039;ve tried this product before, really liked it, thought the smell was great, etc., etc. However, when I tried to use it, it smelled off (I want to say almost like mold/mildew, but it%26#039;s just not right) and had these hard little bumps in it. I%26#039;ve tried scraping the bumps off of the top of the deodorant so it gave me a smooth surface, but it still smelled funny and when I turned the dial to get more the bumps where there again. Does anyone know what happened to it and/or if Target would take a product like this back?

I have tried all kinds of deodorants and no matter what i do they end up on my shirt. And that is just not kewl. I was wondering if anyone knew a good deodorant to help stop the marks on the shirt. Any methods are good also.

My friend was telling me about this deodorant, but I forget what it was called. Actually, it%26#039;s an antiperspirant. It started with a C and you only have to put it on every 72 hours. (It%26#039;s the stronger stuff.) She said you can get it like at Walgreens, and it also has some daytime deodorant. Anybody know what I%26#039;m talking about? Thanks!

You shouldn%26#039;t use it on freshly shaved or showered skin. In my experience it can get a little itchy at first as it is closing the pores. (That is how it works.) I have seen it at CVS, formerly Sav-On in California, and other chain drug stores.

Try using the original scent because sometimes the smelly ones (like powder) tend to make women smell funny when they sweat. Your oils in your skin may react differently and most of the time that causes the funk.

Reply:Yes that has happened to me before. I used Secret when I was younger. I now use Dove and have been since they came out and their deodorant is great!
Try using the original scent because sometimes the smelly ones (like powder) tend to make women smell funny when they sweat. Your oils in your skin may react differently and most of the time that causes the funk.

Remember, each person is different and what works for others, might not work for you.

I%26#039;m flying to L.A., and I can%26#039;t find the TSA regulation on stick deodorant. They require gel and spray deodorant to be less than 3 oz., but they didn%26#039;t mention regular, solid stick deodorant. Does anyone know for sure?

MEN'S deodorant (uncented) for a WOMAN?
Hi, I have a problem with sweaty armpits... not smelly, just sweaty. NOTHING works (I%26#039;ve ever tried Certain Dry and Drysol, which I am allergic to), and I had a reaction to botox injections, which are now being used to treat hyperhydrosis. Anyway, I was thinking, what about a MEN%26#039;S deodorant, as long as it%26#039;s unscented??? I read an article a while ago saying that men%26#039;s deodorant works better and it%26#039;s less irritating to the armpits. That%26#039;s my other problem, I have really sensitive skin and the only thing I%26#039;ve been able to use that works somewhat without causing a rash is Dove Sensitive Skin. Does anyone think that this men%26#039;s deodorant idea will work, and if so, can you suggest a brand? THANKS!
